The school complex in Seengen borders the old town-centre. Historically, this area marked the transition from urban to agricultural land. An existing ensemble of a medieval stone house and a wooden barn bears witness to this situation, while the school campus was created during the 20th century. The project combines a diverse program – music school, learning center, and nursery – into a single building. The protruding roof defines the volume. This architectural element references the existing barn and can be found in vernacular architecture of the area.
